A former U.S. Air Force serviceman, Rick Norman served two years with the Installations Squadron in in Atlas, Oklahoma, and two years as a base operations dispatcher in Misawa, Japan. He briefly returned to the United States to save the necessary funds to make this dream a reality. Rick Norman ultimately served in Japan as a board member of the MeySen Academy and as board member and co-founder of the Bunka Orient Corporation, a company that ultimately became Grape City, Inc.
Since retiring from Grape City in 2012, he has remained dedicated to community service and charitable assistance. Over the course of his career, he has provided critical disaster relief in the form of food, bedding, clothing, and financial contributions.
